I am Wendy Broeckx AKA Shadowsun. I work as an indie game developer since 2014 and I am really passionate about it. Curious by nature, I love learning new things, improving my skills, and sharing my knowledge.

Co-founder of Maratus and Technical Director

With Anaïs Berly, I founded Maratus in April 2020. We specialize in narrative games, taking place in a universe created by Anaïs: Var'Nagal. As a Technical Director, I have to deal with many tasks on a daily basis: dev, tech-art, game design, debug, webdev, etc. As co-Founder I also share the common task of running the company.

Unity Game Development

That is my main skill set! I am very proficient in C# and with Unity workflow as they have been my everyday tools for more that 7 years.

Unity Tool Development

I love - and am experienced in - making different tools in Unity. From simple Inspector views to more complex and customized windowed tools, I tend to put myself in other's shoes to see how I can improve their workflow.

Unity Technical-Art

I have some experience in shaders and tricks in Unity to make games more juicier and more appealing. I feel comfier with Amplify regarding shaders.

Game Design

As a Game Designer, I specialize more in the technical and long term aspects. I am available for providing consulting, advices and support on any production scale.

Web Development

I can make websites using a mix of Html/CSS and PHP. I specialize in one-pagers but If the challenge or the idea triggers my interests, I might be willing to do almost anything web-related.

Partnership

If it fits with our values, Maratus is open to any partnership that requires a Narrative Designer and/or a Developer.

Kiss Your Teacher Gamejam 2017

KYT is an annual event where participants have 48 hours to prototype an educational game. Onanagro Studio developed the prototype of "RE-PLAY", a music teaching game whose purpose is to support music or instrument teachers.

From 2015 to 2018 I participated in multiple trainings and learning workshops at Technocité. During this time, I had the opportunity to learn from people working directly in the industry and to participate in a lot of projects. I created 2 boardgames, a VR escape-game experience and over 10 videogames.
